The wood for this piece came from a tree in the village that had been felled because it had Ash Dieback Disease. I spotted it on my morning dog walk and asked the land owner if I could have some, he got a set of bowls from the tree in return. I normally use colour to enhance highly figured wood, but in thus case the lightfast stains have emphasised the distinctive growth rings. It has an Acacia threaded insert and a corresponding English Holly lid.

It measures: 290mm H x 160mm D and has a capacity of 2.9 litres.
