The wood for this piece came from a tree in the village that had been felled because it had Ash Dieback Disease. I spotted it on my morning dog walk and asked the land owner if I could have some, he got a set of bowls from the tree in return. I normally use colour to enhance highly figured wood, but in thus case the lightfast stains have emphasised the distinctive growth rings. It has a Chilean Piine (araucania araucarnia) threaded insert and a corresponding English Boxwood lid.
It measures: 280mm H x 155mm D and has a capacity of 3.0 litres
